Hi there, Jennifer, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question about the Disney Dining Plan.
Walt Disney World is a feast for the senses, isn't it? The sights, sounds, and smells all play such an important role in making the parks feel as special as they do. But The Most Magical Place on Earth wouldn't be
quite the same without one final crucial element -
THE FOOD! In a place where nearly anything is possible, those iconic snacks and immersive restaurants are
literally the cherry on top!
Jennifer, if there's one thing better than indulging your taste buds in Disney World, it's doing it when you're using the
Disney Dining Plan. There's just something so relaxing about knowing that your meals are already paid for and that there won't be a big bill waiting for you when you (sadly but surely!) return home.
While the Disney Dining Plan is flexible in many ways, I chatted with a Disney Cast Member who confirmed that Table Service credits cannot be converted into Quick Service credits. I know this isn't the answer you were hoping for, Jennifer, but I do have a few suggestions for you.
First, if you like to keep it casual and spontaneous when you're on vacation, consider opting for the
Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan. This plan includes two Quick Service meals per day, instead of the one Quick Service and one Table Service you'll receive with the Disney Dining Plan. The Quick-Service plan allows for maximum flexibility
and clocks in at a lower price point.
Of course, if you're just looking for a way to use up that last Table Service restaurant
without tying yourself to a dining reservation, you should know that select Disney World restaurants offer
Mobile Dine Walk-Up Availability (commonly known as the walk-up waitlist). You can access this feature through your My Disney Experience app once you're within range of the restaurant. Just add yourself to the walk-up waitlist, and you'll be notified when your table is ready! In fact, a few of my favorite restaurants generally offer a walk-up waitlist, including
Nomad Lounge & Cocktail Bar at
Disney's Animal Kingdom and
Geyser Point Bar & Grill at
Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Both of these locations require one Table Service credit per person.
I hope this information is helpful, Jennifer, and that you savor every bite on your upcoming Disney World vacation! If you have any other planning questions, you know where to find us here at planDisney!
Pasta la vista,
Allison
