We're switching resorts midway through our stay. Disney's offered us 2 sets of MagicBands, but we want to keep using the ones we ordered for the first resort. How do we tell Disney we don't want the 2nd set of MBs?

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Annie! I’m so glad you found us!

It looks like you’re less than a month away from embarking on your Disney adventure, and I could not be happier for you! Your MagicBands are the keys to your vacation magic -- they open the door to your Disney Resort Hotel room, they can serve as your Theme Park tickets, and can be used for making purchases on Disney property, plus so much more! In other words, it is the all-in-one device that can truly be the only thing you need to bring with you while on your Walt Disney World vacation!

As your vacation is less than 30 days away, it seems that you already customized some of your MagicBands within My Disney Experience and they may be shipping to you soon! Look for updates on shipment to come via e-mail and on your main plans page. How fun that you will be switching resorts during your trip and doing a "split stay" — there is no better way to experience the magic of various parts of the Walt Disney World Resort than setting up “home base” at a Disney Resort Hotel!

That being said, changing Resorts will trigger a new MagicBand customization option for each member in your travel party ages 3 and up. You may find the option to decline a new band in the same area where you would find customization options for your MagicBands. This might not be possible within 30 days prior to your visit, but take a look and see what you can find! Do not fear, Annie, as all MagicBands will be able to be put to use and are interchangeable, even those you have used on prior trips, so long as they remain active on your account! Feel free to swap your MagicBands from one day to the next, as they can be a great accessory, especially with the new upgraded Magic Band options! Lastly, for more information, check out this handy MagicBands and Cards FAQ for answers to many more questions about this wonderful feature.

Annie, I hope you have a truly magical trip, and please come back if we can help you add any more magic to your plans along the way!

    See ya real soon!
