Hiya Ly! Is there anything better than planning for a day at the Happiest Place on Earth? I like to put on some of my favorite Disney tunes and drink some coffee out of my favorite Minnie mug. Sometimes, I can even start to hear the hustle and bustle of the parks and smell the faint scent of that Disneyland popcorn popping!
It looks like you are well versed in the theme park tickets offered at the Disneyland Resort and know all about the
single-day ticket tiers! One-day tickets are priced according to the day of the week and the time of year and broken into 6 separate tiers, each with a particular set of block-out dates. I do have some good news for you (with a bit of a caveat)! If you are looking to visit the parks on a day that falls under a higher tier than the ticket you are holding, you can definitely upgrade your ticket by paying the difference. These particular upgrades are done in person at the Main Entrance Ticket Booth. The only thing to note here is that you would be subject to same-day
theme park reservation availability. In some cases, there are days where no reservations may be available, BUT you are able to keep an eye on the
theme park reservation calendar as you get closer to your date to see if there are still openings. This calendar makes live updates as Guests book and change reservations, so it can change minute-to-minute!
If you are local, you could also take a drive over to the Disneyland Resort on a day you aren't looking to visit the parks and do the upgrade in advance. This would allow you a bit more lead time for making that reservation and ensuring you are able to go on your preferred date.
My last tip here would be to go ahead and give our
Guest Services team a call to see if there are any options open to you ahead of time! The Cast Members would be happy to help you!
Ly, while you are planning for your visit, pop on the new
planDisney Podcast for lots of insider tips and tricks from my fellow panelists! The latest episode talks ALL about the Disneyland Resort and I learned a few things myself. It's a great way to get excited about your upcoming visit!
I sure hope this was helpful! We are always here for you at planDisney if anything comes up!
Magic awaits!
