Sam from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Hello. I would like to switch my starting park from California Adventure to Disneyland, but I was wondering if it would make me have to repurchase a ticket. I understand tickets are nonrefundable, so how would I go about switching my starting park?

Hi there, Sam. Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for swinging by with your question for us.

I’m delighted to see you’ll be heading to the Happiest Place on Earth on Halloween! From the unique attraction overlays to delicious seasonal treats, there is so much to see, taste and do during this SPOOK-tacular time!

If you wish to switch your reservation from one park to another, you can definitely do so, provided that spots are still available. Before you change your reservation, please be sure to check out the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar to see if Disneyland Park is available on the day you wish to visit. In order to switch parks, you’ll need to first cancel your current park reservation. Then, return to the “Theme Park Tickets & Reservations” page and under “If you’ve already purchased a ticket:”, click on “Make Park Reservations”. Pick the date and new park you wish to visit and confirm your selections. Once your new reservation is processed, you’ll receive a confirmation email.

If you have more trip-planning questions, please feel free to write us again. We’re all EARS!

    See ya real soon,

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes or Disney Cruise Line voyages with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
