My family and I have transferred to different rooms and different Resort hotels many times. While you cannot leave your items in the original room (because Housekeeping will need to get it ready for the next Guest), transferring is a very simple process. On the day you are moving from one room to the next, you will have a couple of options. To begin, if your new room is available when you are ready to transfer, you can simply move your items yourself or request a Cast Member from Luggage Assistance to assist you.
If your new room is not yet available, you can contact Luggage Assistance and a Cast Member will come to your room. Together you will count your bags, and then you will be presented with a claim check. You can also give the Cast Member your cold items. They will be placed in a cooler for you and stored there until your items are delivered to your new room. With your items being taken care of by the Luggage Assistance team, you are free to go enjoy your day!
When you return to Disney's Art of Animation Resort, have checked-in and are in your new room, simply call Luggage Assistance and give them the claim check number. A Cast Member will then bring your items to you. I highly recommend you take a picture of your claim check number and have it easily accessible on your mobile device. That way you don't have to keep up with the claim check throughout the day.
