Is switch rider available for the Star Wars: rise of the resistance ride available? My husband and I would like to ride but we will be traveling with an infant. Suggestions on the best way to do that so both of us have a chance to ride?

Hi Charli! Thank you for your question and for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I recently had the opportunity to ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and let me tell you, it was an experience, unlike anything I’ve seen!

You’ll be happy to know that Rider Switch is currently available for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. However, keep in mind that everyone who intends to ride the attraction must first join a Boarding Group using the My Disney Experience app.

To ensure that you join a Boarding Group, I would personally advise you to arrive early prior to the opening of Disney’s Hollywood Studios (check park hours). Then, once you enter into Disney's Hollywood Studios, jump on the app and join a boarding group by following the prompts on the home page.

As soon as your Boarding Group is called you’ll want to head towards Black Spire Outpost and let a Cast Member at Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance know that you'd like to use Rider Switch and then leave the magic to them!

If you have any other questions, please let us know. Have a magical day!
