Hi Samara! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm excited you'll be visiting the
Walt Disney World Resort later this year! The fall is a beautiful time to visit, especially since the weather tends to be a bit more favorable. I can't wait for you to experience all of the new happenings at Walt Disney World, including some returning special events!
I don't come bearing the best news, Samara. Once
park tickets are purchased for the Walt Disney World Resort, they are non-refundable at that time. Unfortunately, you will not be able to downgrade them from 10-day to 7-day tickets. However, if you purchased your tickets as part of a vacation package that includes your Disney Resorts hotel reservation, you may be able to modify your entire package. I would suggest
calling the Walt Disney World Resort and speaking to a Cast Member for assistance. They will check to see if you are still within your modification window and provide you with your options.
With multiple park days, you'll have the luxury of taking your time as you explore the parks. There is so much to see and do at each one, it is impossible to try and fit it all in one day. For example, if you plan to visit Disney's Hollywood Studios more than once, try to focus on a specific area of the park each visit. You can spend practically an entire day in
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge alone with everything there is to experience. Taking it slow each day will allow you to have a much more enjoyable stay!
Samara, I hope this information helps you plan for your upcoming trip!
