Hi Elizabeth!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thank you for sending us your great question about the
pools at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort!
Elizabeth, you will be happy to know that all
Walt Disney World Resort hotel pools are heated to a balmy 82 degrees Fahrenheit year-round! My family has traveled to Walt Disney World Resort during the winter many times. We have often gone for a swim during the warmest part of the day — it is not getting in the pool that is the difficult, it is getting out that is. The cold air is definitely “refreshing,” to say the least.
If you decide to go for a swim on a very cold day, I encourage you keep your towels and cover-ups close to the pool in order to cover up right away. Please keep in mind that pools are closed during exceptionally cold or inclement weather. I suggest you speak with a Cast Member about impending closures before planning to “make a splash” on a very cold day during your vacation.
Speaking of cold, it does get cold enough for jackets and winter clothing in Central Florida! The weather can fluctuate from cold to warm very quickly. I encourage you to dress in layers when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks.
Elizabeth, I hope I have helped answer your question. If you have any other questions, please visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel again.
Wishing you a Splash-tastic Good Time,
Priscila
