can you swim in December at the disney all star resort ? arethe pools heated

Hi Diana! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Disney’ s All Star Movies, Music, and Sports Resorts are truly family friendly resort hotels. What I love most about these resorts is that I feel like my kids can just be kids! There are a lot of other families around and it is really fun to see everyone having a great time!

In my opinion it really isn’t a vacation unless you can swim in the pool! At the Walt Disney World Resort; unless there is extreme inclement weather, all of the pools are open year round. The best news is that the pools are not only just open, but they also are heated so that you and your family can enjoy swimming without freezing! Even though you may find that some days the air is cool, you still will be able to enjoy a refreshing swim!

While we are on the topic of cool days, it is important to remember that traveling in December is a time that you should carry some warmer clothes with you. I have experienced both very warm and very cool temperatures during this time of year. We usually plan for shorts or light pants during the day, and always have a sweatshirt and jacket for those cool evenings. Since our kids are still very young, we also have a hat and a blanket with us at all times. We have found that carrying these items really makes a difference and they are the perfect way to snuggle up at the end of a magical day!

I hope that you have a splashtastic time!
