Is the sushi bar at the polynesian resort part of the disney dining plan and, if so, is it a counter service or a table? Thanks, love the panel!

    Hi Iona,

The Kona Island Sushi Bar at the Polynesian Resort is a very popular place to eat for those who really know about it.  It's like one of those "Hidden Gems" where you really have to know your stuff about WDW in order to have the opportunity to enjoy places like this.

If you are using your Dining Plan, then it does accept it at this location (participating restaurants are subject to change) and it would be one Table Service credit per person (but well worth it in my opinion).  This is also one of those places where if you don't have reservations at Kona Café and they are fully booked, you are welcome to sit at the Sushi Bar and they will let you order from Kona Café's full menu there at the bar so you don't miss the opportunity to taste the wonderful food at Kona Café (one of my favorite place to eat).....my little secret tip *wink wink*.  The Kona Island Sushi Bar serves food from 5:00pm-10:00pm every day and it is definitely one of our family favorite places to go in the mornings for the best coffee on WDW property and fresh pastries (just in case you like having great coffee when visiting WDW which is hard to come by!).  Have a wonderful trip.

    Best wishes,
    Brigitta
