I am surprising my 8&5 yr old with another trip to disney.I don't want them to know til we get to the resort but I'm hung up on what to say to them when we get in line for the magical express. Any suggestions? IDK who's going to be more excited me or t

Very exciting surprise! I'm sure your kids will be thrilled.

I'm not sure how you would keep it a secret until you reach the resort, though, if you're using Magical Express. The queue area is top to bottom Disney, with friendly cast members welcoming you to your Disney vacation. You will line up according to which Disney resort you're staying in, and many of the buses coming and going are painted with Mickey ears. Even if you manage to distract them from all of that, the gig will be up once you board the bus. On the way to the parks, a short movie plays; it features the characters running around the theme parks and welcoming you to WDW. I'm really not sure how you could explain all of that away.

If it were me, I would fill them in at the airport. You could pack a surprise in your carry-on, or you could stop by the Disney store in the airport, too. There are cute statues that make for nice photo ops as well. While the kids are having fun, perhaps you could ask if they'd like to pose with the real characters instead.

Whatever you choose, I wish you the best of luck!
