I am surprising my 4 yr. old b/g twins with a Disney trip for their 5th birthday is October. I am a little nervous and already feel overwhelmed and we have not even gotten there yet. Do you have any suggestions on what top things are they should experience

    Hello Rhonda!

What an exciting trip to be planning! Fall is one of my favorite times to visit Walt Disney World Resort and celebrating a double birthday will definitely add to the magic.

I am sorry you are feeling a bit overwhelmed, but you have come to the right place. Here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, we love to make the planning side of Disney vacations more magical for our Guests. One of my family's all-time favorite Special Events, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, just happens to take place in October and you won't want to miss it. Costumes, trick-or-treating, a special fireworks show and parade--it is spooktacular! You can bring your costumes from home, or sail on over to The Pirates League for a sea-worthy make-over. Your prince can become part of the crew as a First-Mate or even Jake from the Never Land Pirates, while your little princess can become an Empress or a Mermaid. It's adorable to watch them transform into their little swashbucklin' selfs!

Please let me know if you have any other questions or need any extra recommendations for your stay. Have a wonderful vacation, Rhonda!

    Magical Wishes,

Hi-ya, Pals! I'm Lauren, a wife and mother of three who's enjoyed many special occasions at Walt Disney World Resort with my family and friends. From graduations to birthdays, and even our Fairy Tale Honeymoon we’ve loved celebrating at the most Magical Place on Earth. I now have pre-teens who check wait times in the My Disney Experience App just for fun, so I look for any excuse to return "home" often and would love to help you plan a little extra Pixie Dust for your next magical adventure.
