I am surprising my 9-year-old daughter with a trip to WDW in May. I saw a small blog entry about "Turtle Day" May 23, 2012 in AK. She loves turtles so I wanted to make sure we didn't miss it. Any info you can offer about the event?

    Hi Barbie!

Turtle Day is a great day at Disney's Animal Kingdom!  To see what the past Turtle Days included, check out these two posts from the Disney Parks Blog:

    World Turtle Day 2011
    World Turtle Day 2010

The Disney Parks Blog will most likely update with an event overview as we get closer to the event date.  Stay tuned to their Wildlife Wednesday posts in particular.

Don't forget to make time to visit the most awesome of all turtles, Crush from Finding Nemo!  Your daughter can see Crush interact with guests (and maybe even get to talk to the main dude) at Turtle Talk with Crush in Epcot.  It's a most excellent experience.  (duuuuuuuude).

Please come back and see us again real soon, Barbie.

    Have a magical day!
