Hi, Danielle!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for your question. I’m glad to hear that you’re planning a visit to “The Happiest Place on Earth!”
The theme park where you spend the most time will probably depend on your family and the specific interests of your kids. If your son is anything like mine, he will want to explore Cars Land in Disney California Adventure Park, whereas your daughter may not want to miss Fantasy Faire in Disneyland Park, a whimsical new storybook village near Sleeping Beauty Castle where she can meet several favorite Disney princesses. Personally speaking, although we love both parks and enjoy what each one has to offer, my family tends to spend more time overall in Disneyland Park because it features more attractions and shows we like to experience together.
Since your time at the resort is somewhat limited, I recommend purchasing Park Hopper tickets so you can go back and forth between the two parks as you please throughout the day. The main difference between the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort is that the parks are much closer together and easily accessible. One is just steps from the other, and the Downtown Disney District is also just a stone’s throw away.
I hope this helps, Danielle, and that you have a perfectly pixie-dusted visit to the Disneyland Resort! Please write back with any other questions you may have as your planning continues.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
