    Surprising my hubby with a massage at senses for his 40th BD. I have never been to a spa so I'm not sure what to expect. Coming from a park, so will he need to shower or bring something special to wear? Will there be something for me to do while I wait?

    What a fabulous surprise the massage will be for your husband’s birthday—he’s a lucky man! I had the privilege of visiting the new Senses – A Disney Spa at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort last month, and it’s truly a serene and luxurious facility with a touch of Victorian elegance. 

    Guests are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes ahead of their scheduled appointment, so your husband will have an opportunity to relax and enjoy the spa facilities before his treatment. There’s no need for him to bring anything special to wear. He will be provided with a locker to store his clothes and belongings, along with a robe and slippers to wear while he’s there. He should have plenty of time to shower and freshen up in the men’s locker room before his massage. 

    You’re welcome to relax in the reception area of Senses – A Disney Spa at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort or browse their selection of gifts and products. Perhaps consider booking a little pampering of your own while your husband receives his massage, such as a manicure or pedicure. That way you’ll both leave the spa feeling refreshed, rejuvenated and ready to hit the theme parks again!
