Hi - surprising our 3 daughters with a trip in April and I just learned Ariel's grotto is closed - is there another option for having a character meal with princesses? The girls are 3, 5, and 7 so really into princesses right now.

    Hi, Heather!

I’m so happy you’re planning a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth with your three little princesses. Your family’s magical vacation is just around the corner! Yes, Ariel’s Grotto is currently closed during Pixar Pier enhancements in Disney California Adventure Park. However, don’t fret! Your girls can still meet several favorite Disney Princess friends at Royal Hall in Disneyland Park, where Guests are welcome to visit for hugs, autographs and photos with beloved Disney royalty. Royal Hall is located in Fantasy Fair, just adjacent to Sleeping Beauty Castle, and it’s a fairy tale-come-true! Each Princess is available to meet Guests in a private nook amid regal decor inspired by the castle.

Speaking of Fantasyland, your daughters can transform into beloved Disney Princesses themselves with a visit to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique! Makeovers include a special hairstyle, shimmering makeup, a face gem, nail polish and a princess sash. The best time to visit would be on the day you plan to meet the Princesses so your girls can be all dolled up for their photos. To book an appointment with a Fairy Godmother-in-training, please call (714) 781-STYLE or (714) 781-7895.

One more idea is to visit Royal Theatre to watch live performances under the open-air tent. The shows recreate beloved Disney tales with an added humorous spin. Your whole family will love watching scenes from Beauty and the Beast and Tangled come to life, and your daughters will especially enjoy seeing Belle and Rapunzel on stage! I hope this helps you have a royally pixie-dusted Disneyland Resort vacation, Heather. Please ask us any other planning questions you can dream of.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
