Hi moms :) Surprising my daughter(14 yrs) 1July to 12 July from South Africa There will be 3 of us 2 adults and a teen Please advise me on where to stay, which tickets to purchase, parks? Trying to plan this myself ,most economic

    Hi Rowena!

A vacation to Walt Disney World Resort is a fantastic way surprise your daughter! Some of my favorite memories of Walt Disney World are from a surprise trip with my mom when I was 18, right after I graduated high school! For vacationing on a budget, I would recommend looking at the Value Resorts. These hotels will allow you to experience the magic of a Walt Disney World Resort hotel without breaking the bank.

Since your family will be enjoying a nice, long trip in July, I would recommend adding the Water Park Fun & More Option to your tickets so your family can cool off from the summer heat at Disney's Blizzard Beach and Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Parks. For longer trips, our family chooses to stay at one park each day since we have plenty of time to enjoy all of the parks. So we do not purchase the Park Hopper Option for these trips and save that money for other activities during our vacation.

Our family always adds Memory Maker to our tickets. This allows us to take advantage of all of the Disney PhotoPass photographers in the park. My husband is our family photographer and is usually behind the camera during our family photos, but with Memory Maker he is part of our vacation pictures too. Plus, we can link those images, as well as attraction photos, right to your MagicBand. It is really a fantastic way to save all of your memories from your special trip!

I would recommend trying to spend some time in all of the parks on your visit. Each park is very unique and offers something everyone will enjoy. My personal favorite for adults and teens is Epcot, with its mix of thrill rides, shopping, and fantastic restaurants!

I know your trip is going to be magical! If you have any more questions, you know where to find us!
