We are surprising our daughter. Staying at AOA and driving to Orlando from TX. ? is...is there a place in Orlando that my daughter and I can stop for a while while hubby checks into hotel and gets tix? We want to go straight to MK for her to find out!

    Hi there, Nicole!

Walt Disney World is definitely a huge and wonderful surprise!  And surrounding it, the Lake Buena Vista area is just full of opportunities for fun - and distraction.

Be aware that there are signs on I-4 that direct traffic to individual Parks; if your daughter is a reader, she will likely be able to pick up on the locale. If she is not a reader, you will have better luck surprising her.

One fun highlight of the Orlando area is the "World's Largest McDonald's"! Located just off I-4, this fast-food giant boasts a full and varied menu (with different options than a traditional McDonald's), a game room, an enormous play area (good for burning off "sitting" energy), and more.

There's loads of outlet shopping just nearby, too. If you and your daughter want to explore some fun stores, you can leave that option open as well.

Have a safe and wonderful trip!

    See you later, celebrator,
    -Deborah B.
