Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jennifer!
You must be so excited to bring your family on their
first visit to Walt Disney World Resort!! I completely understand wanting a special way to share the big news.
Unfortunately, at this time Walt Disney World does not offer character calls. There a few independent companies that offer character calls; you can find them by doing a quick internet search.
They are many ways to surprise your kids with the news that they will be visiting Walt Disney World Resort! I recommend gifting them with some gear they can use on the trip, such as a shirt or sweatshirt, Mickey ears, or autograph books. You will find lots of options on
shopDisney in the "Parks" section. A Walt Disney World guidebook written just for kids would also be great, if they are of reading age. Younger ones will like to look at all the photos. Websites such as Etsy and Pinterest have TONS of ideas -- just search for "Disney vacation reveal".
As far as your kids' first airplane trip, there are many children's storybooks that can help your children understand what to expect. I found several "first airplane ride" books on Amazon. It also might be helpful to watch videos on YouTube of other kids' experiences in the airport and airplane.
I have attached a
link to some planning videos that your family might enjoy viewing in advance of your trip. Be sure to also stop by
Guest Relations or the
front desk of your
Disney Resort Hotel for complimentary "First Visit" buttons.
Jennifer, please come back to the Moms Panel again with any additional questions you may have. We are always happy to help. I am wishing you and your family the most wonderful vacation!
