Surprising my boys, 9 & 12, with a trip to Disneyland on our way from New Zealand to London. Arriving 3rd Nov. Will it be Halloween or Christmas then.. Wanting to do a holiday tour but no dates are visible. Also, does Disneyland have minigolf?

    Hi, Julie!

I’m happy to hear you’re planning a visit to the Disneyland Resort this winter. What a magical surprise for your sons! If they are anything like my little guy, they’re especially going to love exploring Cars Land in Disney California Adventure Park.

November can be a great time to visit because the entertainment schedule is in full swing and holiday decorations and other seasonal extras are appearing around the resort. Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort ends on Oct. 31, with the exception of the Haunted Mansion Holiday attraction overlay, which is complete around late-September and remains through the holiday season until early January. The Christmas holiday decor is gradually added at night when the parks are closed and is complete by mid-November. So, while you may see some of the decorations and special extras around the theme parks, your visit is the week before the events offered during Holidays at the Disneyland Resort (which includes the “Holiday Time at Disneyland” Tour, "Believe... In Holiday Magic" fireworks show and A Christmas Fantasy Parade) are officially slated to begin.

No, there is not a miniature golf course at the Disneyland Resort, but if you will have a rental car, there are facilities elsewhere in the area you could visit to play a round or two.

I hope this helps, Julie. For a complete list of hours, entertainment, events and refurbishments, check the Disneyland Resort website or contact Disneyland Resort Guest Information at (714) 781-4565. Please feel free to ask me any other questions you may have as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted vacation!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
