Hi ya, Meredith!
Three cheers for a surprise trip to the Disneyland Resort! As much as I love planning trips for months in advance, it's always delightful to have a trip pop up sooner than you thought!
You're correct that
World of Color is scheduled for some love and maintenance during January and February. I'm sorry! I know how sad it is to have one of your favorite things be missing during your visit. It's still a little bit too soon for the
Entertainment Schedule to be available for your visit, but that will be the place to look for other nighttime spectacular options in just a week or two when it gets updated.
It is possible that there will be
fireworks happening on select nights inside Disneyland Park, such as
Mickey's Mix Magic! But even if there aren't nighttime spectaculars happening, there are still plenty of awesome things to enjoy at the Disneyland Resort after dark. Some of my favorite evening activities are:
- Visiting the newly-reopened Adventureland Treehouse! It's a super cool piece of Disney history and has an incredible view of the park.
- Riding the Storybook Land Canal Boats to enjoy all the tiny details with their wonderful lights. Keep your eyes open, you may even spot some sleepy Disneyland Park ducks!
- Watching the neon turn on in Cars Land! You'll want to check what time the sun is setting, then be in Radiator Springs about five minutes before that time. It's such a fun magical moment!
- Riding the Incredicoaster at night is the BEST. Seriously, don't miss it. Take advantage of the Single Rider Line to get even more rides in, if it's open!
Meredith, is this your first visit to the Disneyland Resort? Make sure you don't miss the attractions that are unique, like the Matterhorn Bobsleds and Indiana Jones Adventure! There are so many amazing details at Disneyland Park, if you have more questions about your visit I hope you'll
send them over to me. I'd love to help you with your planning!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
