Bright Suns, Kortnee-Ann!
We have received your communication. The Gatherers at
Savi's Workshop are encouraged to know that you are making plans to join the Resistance. Each builder is allowed one guest. Since the age recommendation is 5-years old and over, I also would not suggest that you try to send either child with your husband during the build. The experience requires concentration, the lighting is dim, and time is limited. Your husband will need to listen and focus to build his saber in the time allotted.
My husband, girls, and I built lightsabers on a visit to Batuu. It was a unique experience but each of us had to concentrate on our own efforts. I was thankful that I did not need a lightsaber intervention. The Gatherers were efficient and even I was able to complete the build. At the end of our time, I was unequivocally committed to the Cause and kept my lightsaber close as we explored Batuu.
While your husband builds his lightsaber, I would just find a spot to sit and grab a snack with the little ones. Try the
Relaxation Station on Batuu. Since the space is small and little ones could get scared, you could also take them elsewhere to shop. Just be attentive. On our last visit, the lines for the shops were the length of a galaxy. We got in the virtual queue for
Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities. The
legacy lightsabers were a stunning sight to behold!
As you make plans, stay alert. First Order operatives are everywhere. Our Resistance forces need new recruits. Be sure to download the
Star Wars: Datapad on Play Disney Parks Mobile App to practice translating galactic languages, hack into droids, and scan encrypted cargo. You may also want to consider letting your husband and 3-year old build a droid at
Droid Depot. Although this will require your husband's adult skill, your 3-year old could be a helpful apprentice.
Kortnee-Ann, time is of the essence. If you have not done so already, make your husband's reservation for Savi's Workshop. Do your
research on Batuu and Black Spire Outpost. The Resistance may be difficult to locate when you arrive, but I sense your little ones are gifted with the Force. They will lead you to friends in the Cause!
Good journey,
Donyell
