Hello there, Clarissa!
Welcome to planDisney! I love that you want to surprise your friend with a ticket to Disneyland Park, what a generous and magical gift! I'm happy to help you with a few different ways to spread that pixie dust.
You can
purchase tickets for a gift on the Disneyland website! Start out the process the same way you normally would for yourself by selecting the type of ticket, the number of days you want to visit the parks, and the number of tickets you need. Then you'll have the choice to make your ticket a
Park Hopper, if you'd like! The next screen will invite you to select the dates you wish to visit, but you can always change your park reservations later. You'll also be able to select the park you want to visit, or which one you want to start at if you're purchasing Park Hopper tickets.
The next screen will ask if you'd like to add on
Disney Genie+ Service (an AWESOME way to make sure you get to see as much as you can in the parks) and parking. At this point, you'll be able to see a subtotal for your order and click "Continue" to finish your purchase. During checkout, you'll need to provide the name of the guest (your lucky friend!) who will be using the ticket. Your tickets will be delivered over email, which you can then forward to your friend!
Here's the part that gets a little tricky with one-day park tickets; the price depends on the day that you want to visit. So while you can change your park reservation date later, you might run into different ticket pricing. Because tickets are non-refundable, it might be easier for you to gift your friend a Disney Gift Card she can use toward a ticket when she knows for sure which date she will be using it. You can order a personalized physical
Disney Gift Card for her, or you can send a
Disney Gift Card eGift to be delivered electronically.
Clarissa, I hope you'll be joining your pal in the parks! Gifting someone a Disney day is just the best, and I always like to observe my gift in action. Best wishes to you and your friend for a magical day!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
