I had a surgery for Plantar Fasciitis. Once in a while my feet hurts. Especially for walking and standing too long. I do have a handicap card. I don't want to use a wheelchair. What can you do for me?

    Hi there, Bubbles,

Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. We are happy to offer advice and information to help make your visit to the Disneyland Resort as magical as possible. Of course, since I am not a medical professional, I encourage you to primarily seek advice from your medical provider so that you have specific counsel to ensure your safety and well-being.

The Disneyland Resort offers a variety of services for Guests with disabilities. Most often when Guests ask about these services, they are interested in learning more about the Disability Access Service (DAS). DAS is designed for Guests who are unable to tolerate standing in a traditional queue. Eligible Guests can enroll with a brief interview with a Guest Relations Cast Member.

It’s important to note that a mobility disability is generally not a qualifying disability for DAS. In such cases, Guests Relations Cast Members can offer information about other appropriate accommodations. For guests with mobility limitations, it is usually recommended to use a wheelchair or Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV), as a day visiting the Disneyland Resort can otherwise involve walking significant distances. Guests using an ECV or wheelchair can also take advantage of special accommodations to make enjoying various attractions more manageable. If desired, a limited number of wheelchairs and ECVs are also available to rent just outside the entrance of Disneyland Park.

Tony’s Tip: Attraction return time services such as DAS and return times for certain Guests with special mobility needs may offer Guests accommodations to experience attractions without waiting in the traditional attraction queue. However, the return times are based on the estimated current wait time of the standby queue. These special attraction return times may only be issued for up to one attraction at a time. To enjoy shorter wait times for select attractions, you might consider purchasing the Disney Genie+ service and/or individual Lightning Lane access. Although, I have to warn you, using Lightning Lane queues may have the unintended consequence of adding even more walking to your visit as you can generally experience even more attractions in a day!

I hope you have a wonderful time visiting the Disneyland Resort, Bubbles. May you make many magical memories as you enjoy a "world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy."
