Hi Michael!
Welcome to planDisney.
While things may look a bit different these days due to the ongoing pandemic, we here at the Walt Disney World Resort have been
hard at work, making sure that there is plenty of magic in store for our cherished Guests! We are working hard on enhanced cleaning, maintaining physical distancing, and reducing contact among Guests and Cast Members. All persons must always wear a face-covering except when stationary and eating or drinking.
Currently, some
offerings have been modified while others are unavailable. Restaurants are limited in capacity and subject to limited availability.
Dining reservations are highly recommended – and are even required in some locations. Dining reservations can be made starting 60 days in advance of your stay. If you plan to dine in a Theme Park, you must have a valid park admission and a reservation for park entry. If you are dining at a Disney Resort hotel, you will need a confirmed dining reservation for day Guests. The list of open dining locations has been slowly expanding, therefore offering more available reservations. While it is possible that you may not get the exact dining location on the specific day you are hoping, you may want to try a new place instead! I would recommend that you go in with an open mind. Some of my favorite dining locations, such as
Tusker House in
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park and
Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village, were places that I would have never reserved. I ended up dining at these locations because they had availability when a first-choice place did not.
If you don’t get the sit-down experience that your heart desires, always remember that there are plenty of quick-service dining locations throughout the Theme Parks as well as Disney Springs. Many of these locations offer mobile ordering, so you can even skip the line!
I hope that you and your family have the most magical time!
