Hi Alyson,
Thank you for dropping by planDisney with a great question!
Although I can imagine the disappointment with having to cancel your reservation, I can empathize. We had to cancel a trip one year and I was incredibly disheartened. But we regrouped and rescheduled for the next year. When you canceled, you should have received a confirmation email with the cancelation number. If you cannot locate that cancelation number and the reservation had been linked in your
My Disney Experience account, check your account. Once you log into that account, go to My Plans, and scroll to see if you see the reservation still linked. If it is no longer linked, it probably has been canceled. To be sure, you can
contact a Cast Member by phone to make sure the reservation was canceled.
If you had any
Disney Park Pass system,
advanced dining, or
Enchanting Extras reservations, make sure those are canceled as well. If you anticipate traveling in the near future, go ahead and check the Special Offers to see if any offers would be applicable to your new dates. If you do see an applicable Special Offer, I recommend that you make that new reservation. Recently, I saw a Special Offer available for
Annual Passholders but I did not book the room. When I checked a few weeks later, that Special Offer was no longer available for the resorts I was considering.
Alyson, I trust that you will get that reservation issue resolved! We do hope you are able to reschedule and visit the Walt Disney World Resort
real soon!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
