How can we be sure there are large wheelchairs available at queues where they are wheelchair friendly but don't allow ECVs. My mom is a very large woman and as such has breathing issues and bad knees the wheelchairs are all average size! Very frustrating!

    Hi, Anne!

Let a friendly Cast Member know that your mom needs to stay in her ECV until transferring to her seat on the attraction.  They will happily make sure her ECV fits in the queue or will lead her to an entrance allowing her to make the transfer.  Please note that some attractions will allow her to stay in her ECV (especially shows like Hall of Presidents or Carousel of Progress) while others will require that she can transfer to the seat of the attraction (like the Flying Dumbos).  You can count on the wonderful Disney Cast Members at each attraction to explain the loading procedure.  No worries, you will be well taken care of by Mickey and his great team at Walt Disney World.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
