    Hi! I want to make sure I'll be able to manage my group Genie+. All my family members show this message "X can start planning for your managed profiles once they are fully connected". What do we need to do to be fully connected?

    Hi there, Melanie, and welcome to planDisney! 

    How wonderful that your magical vacation is just over a month away! This is always when the magic starts to really set in for me as I begin my pixie-dusted packing (and unpacking then repacking) to ensure no mouse ears, phone chargers, or ponchos get left behind or forgotten. Speaking of vacation preparation, you're wise to ensure your Family & Friends List is up-to-date before you're in the middle of the magic, so let's get right to your question!

    I just spoke with a helpful Cast Member who shared that if you are receiving this message, you have likely not connected with your travel party through My Disney Experience. While everyone can access their own theme park tickets without being connected, if you are hoping to schedule dining and attractions together, you will need to add everyone in your party to your My Disney Experience Family & Friends List. The first step in this process is ensuring that everyone has their own My Disney Experience account. Once everyone has an account, you can link them in a couple of different ways. 
     - From the Walt Disney World Website: Select 'My Disney Experience' then 'My Family & Friends' then 'Add a Guest' where you'll be prompted to input the Guest's information to connect.
    - From the My Disney Experience mobile app: Select the three horizontal lines at the bottom of the screen then 'My Profile' then 'Family & Friends List' and 'Add a Guest'. Once there, you'll have three options for connecting with the Guest. If you are physically with the people you're hoping to connect with, scanning the linking code is super convenient. 

    Once you have added the Guests to your List, be sure they accept the connection request they received their in the app or via email. You'll then be able to see each other's profiles and share plans. You'll also have the option to manage each person's access to your plans by selecting the 'Settings' icon by each name.

    Your Family & Friends List is essential if you're hoping to join virtual queues and secure Lightning Lane entrances as a group, so I hope this was helpful, Melanie. If you need any additional clarification or assistance, feel free to stop back by. Hakuna Matata. I'm always happy to help!
