What can I do to make sure my daughter has a an extra special birthday at DW? We are surprising her for her 7th next November and our first day at the parks will be on her actual birthday. Anything that isn't very costly ( I know about the buttons.)

    Hi, Elisa!

A 7th birthday while IN Walt Disney World...how exciting for your little princess!

Aside from ensuring that the birthday girl is wearing her complimentary birthday button, I would plan the entire day around her favorites. Let your daughter pick which park to visit that day, including where she'd like to dine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. She can name all of the attraction and entertainment options she'd like best, then you can help get them onto your day's itinerary. Imagine how special she'll feel knowing that this entire day has been planned just for her! From meeting her favorite characters to dining at the locations of her choice, this very special day will seem like a dream come true.

Next, check out this really helpful link about celebrating your special occasion at Walt Disney World Resort. You might decide to order a customized cake that can be delivered to your WDW Resort restaurant after a celebratory birthday dinner, or maybe have a MIckey Mouse balloon bouquet and Mickey Mouse plush (currently $39.95) delivered to your room so that your little one knows that Mickey is so very happy to help her celebrate her big day.

We've often celebrated a birthday during a trip to WDW, and on those days, we'll tuck a little Disney Gift Card into another gift, giving the birthday kid the freedom to choose something really special that day, such as a princess dress or a toy we'd normally have left on the shelf. This way, we have a very special souvenir that's sure to remind the birthday boy or girl of one very special day in one very special place.

Be sure to wish a very happy birthday to your princess from all of us on the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
