We are suprising my daughter with a Disney trip next month for her 7th birthday. Do you know if Disney offers any services where she is called, or gets mail, letting her know about the surprise?

The only service I know about and have used for my son is at secure.uvoxnetworks.com/disney/.

If you pick a character and then the good morning theme, on the next page you will select taking a trip under special plans for the day. Hear a sample of the phone call and click on Preview to see the text of the phone call.

If you select Mickey, he does not state specifically that you are coming to see him but he does say that he hears you are taking a trip. Finally Mickey closes the call by saying "see ya real soon".

Once the call is finished you could present her with a Disney balloon and a message attached with the details of your trip.

We like to make up different ways to Count Down until our travel day to WDW. Right now, courtesy of my fellow panelist, Kara, we are using a countdown paper chain with Disney characters. Each morning my son cuts off a link/day. When we first started at 90 days, the chain looked huge. Now, we are less than 70 days from the trip and we can see our travel day getting a bit closer.

I admire any parents that can keep the vacation a secret and surprise their children with such a fabulous trip!

Wishing your daughter a magical 7th birthday. I hope you have a wonderful time telling her about the surprise!
