Welcome aboard planDisney! It looks like you're just hours, maybe even minutes, away from hearing that magical "Welcome Aboard!" announcement. Let's get your luggage tag question answered so you can get back to the fun!
The good news is that you're not supposed to separate the luggage tag into two pieces. Disney's luggage tags are designed to be folded in half, much like the baggage tags you receive at the airport. Simply peel off the backing where it says to remove the adhesive, loop one end through your luggage handle, and press the sticky ends together. Once attached, your suitcase will be ready to begin its own voyage to your stateroom.
If you happen to run out of printed luggage tags, don't let that send you into full panic mode like Pain and Panic from Hercules. The friendly porters at the cruise terminal have
blank luggage tags available and will help make sure your bags are labeled correctly and sent to the right stateroom.
Since you're almost ready to board, here's one last reminder. Be sure to keep everything you'll need during those first few hours onboard in your carry-on bag. That includes your
travel documents (such as passports or birth certificates, if applicable), medications, sunscreen, swimsuits if you want to hit the pool early, any wine or adult beverages you're bringing onboard within
Disney Cruise Line's policy, and anything else you might want before your luggage arrives. Staterooms are typically ready around 1:30 PM, although that time is always subject to change.
