We are supposed to go to Disney next weekend, we have park hoppers purchased for 3 days. The trip may be postponed due to high Covid numbers where we live and in Orlando area. Is there a way to save the tickets for a later unknown date?

    Hi there! Welcome to plandisney!

Oh, Becky, I am so sorry to hear that Covid may be getting in the way of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation plans. I'm sure you have been so looking forward to this trip, but whenever you can visit is sure to be the perfect time to enjoy all that Walt Disney World has to offer! If you do end up rescheduling for any time throughout 2022, you will still be a part of Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary Celebration. There is so much to enjoy during The World's Most Magical Celebration, including the stunning Beacons of Magic throughout all four theme parks. You'll love how the legendary theme park icons have been transformed into EARIdescent wonders of light and color. They really take your breath away!

Changing the date of your Theme Park Tickets is as easy as can be using the My Disney Experience app. First, you'll want to check the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar to ensure your preferred parks are available before changing your ticket date. Once you have confirmed availability, open up the My Disney Experience app and follow these simple steps:

    • Make sure you are logged into your account. You should see your name on the top of the screen with a message like "Hello, Becky!"
    • Open the menu by clicking the three stacked lines on the bottom right-hand corner.
      Select "Tickets and Passes."
    • Click on "Change Date"
    • Select your new date.
    • Theme Park Ticket pricing varies by date, so there may be a difference in the price per day for your new dates. If so, you will need to follow the prompts to process the payment for the difference in cost.

Since you mentioned that you're unsure when you will be able to reschedule your trip, I would recommend changing the date to a couple of months in the future. Then, once you know when you'll be visiting, you can follow the same steps above to schedule them based on your finalized dates. It is important to note that you will need to do this BEFORE your already scheduled ticket date to ensure they do not expire before changing.

Becky, the fun never stops at Walt Disney World, so I promise you will have an absolutely wonderful vacation whenever you can make it. Once you have your dates finalized, I would love to tell you about any events or exciting new offerings available during your visit. So, feel free to write me again, as I would love to help make your vacation as magical as possible!

    Until next time,
