We are supposed to change hotels on Wednesday from Pop to Carribean Beach. This is during the weather event, could we adjust our moving day to Monday, October 7th, to avoid needing the move during the storm?

    Hi there, Meredith!

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for bringing us a fantastic Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. I'm so excited to hear your enchanting escape to The Most Magical Place on Earth is finally here! As tropical weather approaches central Florida, I'm here to help you navigate your split-stay vacation in every way I can.

It sounds like you're currently enjoying a cozy stay at Disney's Pop Century Resort, but you'll be packing up your bags and heading to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort later in the week. My family always loves a split-stay, Meredith. It means we can experience the dining, shopping, and recreational offerings across multiple Disney Resort hotels! At the time of writing, Disney Resort hotel availability is extremely limited according to the Walt Disney World Resort website. Therefore, I encourage you to speak with the Cast Members at the Front Desk of your Disney Resort hotel to discuss potential options. Rest assured that, no matter which resort you're at during severe weather, the fabulous Cast Members will do their best to ensure you a comfortable and safe experience.

Meredith, in times of severe weather, I always pay attention to the Weather Updates & Information page on the Walt Disney World Resort website. There, Guests can find the most up-to-date information about operational changes and closures resulting from severe weather near the Walt Disney World Resort. Keep an eye on the My Disney Experience mobile app, as well. Oftentimes, users will see notifications in the app when severe weather has impacted normal theme park operations.

I hope this information provides you with a helpful start as you navigate experiencing the Walt Disney World Resort during inclement weather, Meredith. If you have any additional questions throughout your stay, you're always welcome to pop back over to planDisney again anytime. We're here to help you make the most of your time at The Most Magical Place on Earth!

    Warm wishes,

    Lauren
