We are supposed to arrive on Wednesday and have the 4-day ticket package, dining plan and Not so scary Mickey party. What are our options for changing our arrival date? Will we still be able to secure our same hotel and ticket package including the party?

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Matt!

Thanks for stopping by with a great Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney! Oh boy... your countdown is almost over and magic awaits during your upcoming trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth. Though severe weather seems to have threatened your existing plans, I'm here to help you understand your options for modifying the dates of your vacation!

Matt, as someone who's had to postpone/cancel Disney Parks vacation plans due to unforeseen circumstances, I can totally understand your uncertainty and disappointment. According to the hurricane policies of the Walt Disney World Resort, if a hurricane warning is issued by the National Hurricane Center for the Orlando area within seven days of a Guest's scheduled arrival date, the Guest may reschedule or cancel most vacation packages or room-only reservations booked directly with the Walt Disney Travel Company without incurring cancelation or change fees. Rest assured that, regardless of when you visit the Walt Disney World Resort, the Cast Members will do all they can to ensure you a safe and comfortable stay. If you decide to reschedule your trip under these circumstances and originally booked your trip with a special offer, the same special offer will be applied to your new booking if it's still being offered on those dates. Otherwise, a Cast Member will assist you in finding another suitable special offer available during your new dates of stay!

In the coming days, I encourage you to pay close attention to the National Hurricane Center website for any updates on the storm. Also, Guests can find up-to-date information on operational changes and closures at the Walt Disney World Resort by viewing the banner at the top of the webpage. Clicking the "Learn More" link on the banner will take you to the Weather Updates & Information page where you'll find detailed information about the safety measures being taken at the Walt Disney World Resort to keep Guests and Cast Members safe.

Matt, I hope this information helps to prepare you for your upcoming vacation or for any changes you may need to make due to the impending storm. If you have any additional questions about your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation - whenever it may be - you can always revisit us here at planDisney anytime! We're all ears.

    See ya real soon,

    Lauren
