Hi Mom's, We were suppose to be at DW in Sept. We decided to wait till June and have an extended trip with all the family.(Grandparents, Aunts,Sisters,Brothers, ect.) Is there any special activity I can look forward to in June? I am having a fit for Disney!

    Stephanie:

Oh, I'm sorry to hear your vacation has been postponed--but you'll love going with all your family.  I'm sitting here looking at our family reunion picture of the 19 of us from a year-and-a-half ago who ventured to Disney for Christmas!  It evokes so many happy memories!

Although I haven't heard anything official for next year, traditionally weekends in June are considered "Star Wars weekends" at Disney Studios.

Even if you don't consider yourself a Star Wars fan (but I am, so it's hard not to imagine that everyone else isn't also....), you can't help but enjoy seeing Star Wars characters roam the park!  (And some are simply guests!!)  One of the best parts of the weekend, in my opinion, is the Star Wars "parade" in the morning.  There's nothing like a sea of stormtroopers making their way up the main boulevard!

My only advice is to avoid the first weekend of the event, as it brings a larger crowd with many collectors coming to get the unique, supply-limited souvenirs that are a big part of the event.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
