I am super excited about it. At the time we go my kids will be 18, 7, 4 1/2 and 2 1/2. My oldest may not make it if he goes into the Navy, but still hopeful. I loved Disneyland so much and keep wondering how Disney World will compare and how to do it all.

Oh Michelle, I am so excited for your family!  If you loved Disneyland, then you are in for the treat of a lifetime.

As a young person raised on the east coast, unfortunately I have never experienced Disneyland myself but I have heard that it is much smaller than Walt Disney World in Florida.  In fact, I've heard various people say that you can fit all of Disneyland in the parking lots of Walt Disney World.  So there is so much more magic to discover in Florida!  Disneyland is classic, there's no arguing about that.  It is the original park and as such it is the only Disney theme park Walt himself experienced.  That alone makes is special.  However, the Imagineers learned so much from the construction of Disneyland that they were bound to make some improvements as they designed and built subsequent parks.

I hope you have scheduled a visit to Florida long enough to enable your children to explore all four of the Disney theme parks.  A visit to at least one of the water parks would be fun too.  If you need help mapping out your days, just let me know.  I'd be delighted to help.

Best wishes to you and your family!  I will keep my fingers crossed that your oldest son will be able to be a part of the magic when your trip rolls around.

    Good to hear from you!
