I am super excited to be taking our dance team to perform at Walt Disney World. I was hoping to go during February Vacation Week for new england schools but am wondering about crowds and weather during that time frame as well as when pricing is higher.

    Hi, there!

Vanessa, I'm so happy to hear you're planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. It's my pleasure to help you plan a magical stay!

I totally understand your concerns about traveling in February. Typically, the crowds are quite light during that time of the year. If you're traveling during the week of President's Day, though, you can expect the crowds and pricing to be a bit higher. Not to fret! There are easy ways to combat both those issues.

With a good touring plan in hand, you can maximize your precious time in theme parks. Plan on arriving 30-45 minutes prior to official opening so you're ready to go when the gates open. The first hour of the day is usually the least crowded, and you can experience many fan-favorite attractions with little to no wait. Then, be sure to use FastPass+ throughout the day. This complimentary service is the best way to dodge long lines. Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel can make their FastPass+ selections up to 60-days in advance; an awesome advantage!

For a good deal, keep an eye on the Special Offers, Deals & Discounts page on the Walt Disney World Resort website. In the fall, you'll likely see some offers released for your travel dates. If you already have a Disney Resort Hotel Package booked at that point, you can call the Reservation Center to see if one of the discounts can be applied to your existing reservation.

Compared to Maine, I think you'll find the weather in Orlando to be lovely in February! With high temperatures around 70°, it will be a nice break from that New England winter weather.

Please let me know if you have any other questions, Vanessa!
