Hi we are super excited to be heading to DL & DCA. Our dates have made it onto the event calendar 12th to 15th of Jan, but no parades or fireworks etc are showing. Does the calendar get updated more or do we have bad dates?? Need to prep the kids if so

    Hi there, Adam!

Welcome back to planDisney. I am glad that you sent another question to us. Your visit to Disneyland Resort is only a few weeks away! So fun!

My kids love the parades and nighttime spectaculars at Disneyland, and I bet your children do, as well. I am sorry that those events are not currently listed in the Hours & Events Calendar. It is possible that more events will be added to the calendar as it gets closer to January. I have noticed that it can take extra time to update the calendar after a popular season ends, such as the Holidays at Disneyland. Keep in mind that Fantasmic! and fireworks at Disneyland are often limited to weekend performances during most times of the year in my experience. I recommend checking the Hours & Events Calendar daily to see if more entertainment is added.

I visited Disneyland in October when most nighttime spectaculars and parades were not performed, and my family still had an incredible time! We focused on riding attractions, making dining reservations at our favorite restaurants, and playing in the hotel pools. I also enjoy riding outdoor attractions at night, such as Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and the Incredicoaster. There is extra magic at Disneyland after the sun sets! Make sure to bring a coat (and a poncho if riding Tiana's Bayou Adventure!) because it does get chilly. I recommend renting a locker to store your jackets and cooler-weather clothing during the day.

Adam, I hope more events will be added to the calendar during your visit! Have a wonderful vacation at Disneyland!

    Magic Happens!
