It’s a small world after all, Amy, and I’m so glad you found your way back to
planDisney with another great question!
I can feel your excitement, and I'm thrilled for you to visit the
Happiest Place on Earth soon! What a great way to get to know two of the three
Disneyland Resort Hotels, too. I’m happy to report that both the
Disneyland Hotel and
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa include mini-refrigerators in the regular Guest rooms. These mini-fridges are the perfect size to hold some waters, sodas, or even yogurts, like you mentioned. Since they aren’t freezers, I don’t know if they’ll be able to keep your ice packs solid, though. They would stay cool, but not necessarily solid, unfortunately. If you’re trying to keep some snacks cool while you’re in the parks, you can always grab some cups of ice to add to your cooler bag throughout the day if your ice packs aren’t able to do the job.
By the way, Amy, you’ve picked my two favorite hotels! Be sure to take some time to walk the grounds and take in the beauty of these two properties. My favorite spot at the Disneyland Hotel is
Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill, located just above the resort pools. I love starting my day with the
American Breakfast while sitting in this scenic spot!
Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar, located next to Tangaroa Terrace, is another favorite of mine. Be sure to enjoy a
Piranha Pool for me! Then, once you head on over to Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, I recommend stopping by
GCH Craftsman Bar for a relaxing, tranquil experience. My favorite menu items there are the
Baked Nachos and the Prickly Pear Rose! Also, just around the corner, you’ll find a hidden gem –
GCH Craftsman Grill. This is my favorite spot for a quick, delicious breakfast before hitting the parks, or a snack by the pool.
I hope this information helps, Amy! Please stop back with any additional questions you may have before your epic Disneyland Resort adventures begin!
See ya' real soon,
Kristin
