Howdy Denise! I could not be any more excited for you!! You will LOVE the
Wanyama Safari Resort Tour.
Attire: the following dress code guidelines apply during your dinner at Jiko:
Men: Khakis, slacks, jeans, dress shorts, collared shirts. Sport coats are optional.
Ladies: Capris, skirts, dresses, jeans, dress shorts.
Not permitted in dining room: Tank tops, swimwear, hats for gentleman, cut offs, or torn clothing. While T-shirts are now allowed, the policy remains that T-shirts with offensive language or graphics are not acceptable.
However, given that you will be on the safari in May, the Cast Member urged me to tell you to be comfortable and dress for the elements. Nice shorts and a polo style shirt would be appropriate for men and comparable attire for ladies.
Tipping: the package price includes your tip for the driver as well as the waiter/waitress at Jiko. Though you did hold your reservation with a credit card, you will pay for the package following dinner.
Regarding the ages of the Guests: Guests must be 8 years and older to participate in the Wanyama Safari and Dinner. However, the Cast Member I spoke with indicted that this is actually better suited for adults and she didn't really recommend anyone under 16 take part. The dinner can last up to 90 minutes because the Cast Members truly take their time, explain wine pairings, etc. It's more than just dinner...it's an experience. Do you have younger Guests travelling with you on safari?
I hope this helps you in your planning. Please let me know if you need any further information and thanks again for your question!
Have a magical day!!
