On Sunday we check out of AoA we have a 10:15 am ADR at Boardwalk and planned to spend the rest of the day at Disney Springs, before returning to AoA to catch the ME at 4:30 pm. What is the most efficient way to travel so we can maximize our Disney time?

    Hi Tom,

It sounds like you have a busy and fun day planned for the last day of your Walt Disney World vacation! Heading to Disney's BoardWalk always sets you up for a good time. I love the energy and hustle and bustle of this area. Finishing up your vacation at Disney Springs is perfect. You will be able to purchase any last-minute souvenirs from the wonderful merchandise locations, and simply take in the Disney atmosphere at the end of your trip.

Most of the legs of your travel will have direct buses. From Disney's BoardWalk Inn to Disney Springs, you can catch a bus. From Disney Springs to Disney's Art of Animation Resort, you can catch a bus. The only leg of the trip that will require more than one type of transportation if you are using Disney transportation is heading from Disney's Art of Animation Resort to Disney's BoardWalk. I think that the best way to do this is to take a bus from Disney's Art of Animation Resort to Disney's Hollywood Studios. From there, you can catch a boat to Disney's BoardWalk. You can also walk from Disney's Hollywood Studios to Disney's BoardWalk; however, it is a lengthy walk - I would budget at least 20 minutes. To maximize the time from Disney's Hollywood Studios to Disney's BoardWalk, I often ride the boat to the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels. This is the longest part of the journey, and from there, I do think it is faster to walk over to Disney's BoardWalk rather than take the boat. Another way to save time on this leg of the trip is to take a taxi. Simply ask a cast member at the lobby of Disney's Art of Animation to call one for you. You will of course need to pay for the taxi; however, generally the prices are not too high and it will save time.

Please do let us know if you have any further questions, Tom!
