Hello, Roseann! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm so glad you dropped by with your question.
I, also, took both of my little ones to the Walt Disney World Resort when they were under age 2 and let me tell you- that stroller was a lifesaver! The first time we visited with my oldest who would have been about the same age as your grandson, we brought ours from home because I wanted to use it through the airport. As my kids got older, I decided to try renting one and it worked out really well also.
A few things to consider...
If you decide to bring one from home, just review what stroller dimensions are accepted in the parks- usually it's a non-issue, but strollers wider than 31" and "stroller-like" wagons are not permitted. If you are planning to rent a stroller, the
Disney Featured Provider is
Scooterbug. You will find a variety of options and your selection can easily be dropped off to (and picked up from) your
Disney Resort Hotel so that you can use it to and from the theme park. Other companies around Orlando also provide this service. Two that my family has used in the past are Kingdom Strollers and Orlando Stroller Rentals.
Roseann, I hope this helps as you continue to plan for your upcoming trip! One other tip I can offer when
traveling with little ones is to utilize the
Baby Care Centers, located inside all four theme parks. If your grandson needs a change of clothes, a quick break or a clean-up, this is your spot!
I loved being at the Walt Disney World Resort with my toddlers as there are so many shows and attractions that are for the whole family; I hope you do as well. Best wishes for a trip filled with Magical memories that you'll think back on for years to come. Please stop back and see us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any other questions you might have!
