Welcome to planDisney, Phillip!
With 2022 just around the corner, adventures on the high seas will not be a FANTASY but a reality. With DREAM destinations like Hawai’i, Baja, the Pacific Coast, Panama Canal, and the Caribbean, no WONDER Disney fans are positively overflowing with enthusiasm. Plus, with
everything that is included on a Disney cruise, it’s truly a MAGICal way to see the world!
While Captain Mickey does not currently have any itineraries beyond May 2022 on the horizon just yet, I would anticipate that we will be hearing an announcement about new 2022 sailings soon. Typically, Disney Cruise Line will release these itineraries 15-18 months in advance. So that means it could happen any day now. (Gee, I’m going to feel goofy if these sailings are released AFTER I wrote this answer for you!)
So here are your options: 1) as soon as the Summer 2022 itineraries are released, go ahead and cancel your existing reservation under the current
Book with Confidence policy and make a new reservation; or 2) depending on when your existing itinerary is booked, you could wait and see if Disney Cruise Line has to cancel that particular sailing and you would have a future cruise credit to use towards the new itinerary (typically 125% of the cancelled voyage fare). If you are Type A like me and just need to know that everything is lined up and you get the exact cruise that you want, then option #1 is probably your best bet. But if you are willing to wait it out, you could take a chance and go with option #2.
My suggestion: keep checking both the
Disney Cruise Line website and the
Disney Parks Blog for the most updated information. There are some really amazing links there, including recipes, activities and even broadcasts of the amazing Disney Cruise Line shows like
Tangled: the Musical and
Beauty and the Beast. Before you know it, the time will have flown by and you'll be boarding the ship for your
Disney Cruise Line vacation!
Sending pixie dust to you as you make your cruise plans, Phillip! Please sail back to planDisney if you have any additional questions as you chart a course for your next adventure.
