Ahoy there, Nadia! Thanks so much for visiting planDisney - so glad to meet you! I'm delighted to hear that you have a magical voyage planned with
Disney Cruise Line, and we will get you squared away with all of the details you need. Let's dive right in!
Guests sailing with DCL may bring up to two checked bags per person, weighing up to 50 pounds (22.7 kg) each. When you arrive to embark on your cruise, you'll fill out luggage tags with your stateroom number and reservation details. The DCL porters will take those bags and they'll appear later in your stateroom - so easy! The stateroom beds are elevated, so you can store your baggage underneath and save that previous square footage.
You can also have a carry-on bag with you to hold any essentials when you board the ship. Keep in mind that you'll be managing this bag for several hours before you can access your stateroom, so I recommend choosing something lightweight like a backpack or a shoulder bag. It's a good idea to keep travel documents and medications in your carry-on, and I always pack a swimsuit and sunscreen in case we decide to take a spin on the
AquaDuck!
Nadia, as you make your final preparations for your much-awaited cruise, be sure to take a look at the
DCL packing lists, which are really helpful so you have everything you need! I also recommend checking the
list of prohibited items so you don't bring something that will be confiscated before boarding.
I hope you are counting down the days to your cruise! Our planDisney crew is always here to help, so please come back anytime if you have other questions about your vacation.
