Hi Christine,
I suggest dressing in comfortable attire suitable to the local weather. It is absolutely imperative to wear good walking shoes at the theme parks. Shorts and t-shirts are perfectly acceptable too. However, I recommend bringing a lightweight jacket (or hoodie) in case the weather turns cooler than usual. Casual sundresses are very appropriate too. In fact, I basically live in those there. Do check the local weather report before leaving for the parks each day.
It's important to keep in mind that the Disney Theme Parks are extremely family-oriented, so what you wear should reflect that too. One of the dress code rules clearly states that "clothing which, by nature, exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment," would not be permitted. To avoid the inconvenience and disappointment of being refused admittance to the parks because of improper attire, please read all about the
Dress Code here.
You will need to adhere to a very specific dress code at
Fine/Signature Dining restaurants. Therefore, I recommend packing at least one pair of strappy sandals, a chic dress, a stylish skirt or a pair of Capri pants to go with a dressier shirt. There are also numerous bars and lounges throughout the Walt Disney World Resort, and you just might want to dress up a bit for those too.

Disney Parks Blog entry.
Wishing you a most memorable visit to the place where
The Magic is Endless!
