Hello, Rui!
I love your question! Park strategy is one of my favorite topics. Every group is a little different, but I'd be happy to share some ideas to help you have a great day in the parks!
My first suggestion is to download the
Disneyland Mobile App and start exploring! The app can help you find your way around the parks, see the current wait times for rides, and check the entertainment schedule for shows and parades. You can also find places to eat, and some of them even let you place a
mobile order in the app to pick up your food faster! The app also has important details like height requirements, which are really good to know before your visit.
With the app in your pocket, my biggest tip is to get up early! Being among the first guests in the parks gives you the chance to enjoy rides with shorter wait times. In Disneyland Park, my family likes to start our day in Adventureland on
Indiana Jones Adventure, then work our way back to the Haunted Mansion (during your visit you'll see
Haunted Mansion Holiday),
Pirates of the Caribbean, and
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. We love our thrill rides! As the park gets more crowded we might visit Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room, the Jungle Cruise, Star Tours, or Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters. I love visiting Fantasyland after the sun goes down, especially the
Storybook Land Canal Boats!
If we're visiting Disney California Adventure Park then we often start with
WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure and then continue our heroics in Avengers Campus at
Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! The Guardians of the Galaxy are a pretty wild crowd, so if that sounds a little more adventurous than you'd like then I'd start on Pixar Pier with
Toy Story Midway Mania! Early mornings are also a great time to enjoy Cars Land. If the line for Radiator Springs Racers is long then you might try the Single Rider option if everyone in your group is 7 or older. It's a great way to speed your party to the starting line!
I would also consider purchasing Disney Genie+ for your group, at least for your last day in the parks. That would give you access to
Lightning Lanes, which can help you squeeze in more rides before you head home!
Rui, my best suggestion is to have everyone in your party choose one or two things they want to do each day. Prioritize those things, then don't worry! Relax, enjoy the atmosphere, eat some fresh popcorn, and have fun together. Three days is a great amount of time, so don't stress! Take photos, give Mickey a hug, and eat an extra treat for me.
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
