Do you have any suggestions for unique or special things to see/do at either park or hotels? I know WDW has talking water fountains, Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, hidden Mickey scavenger hunts at some resorts, etc. I'm looking for something like that.

    Hi there Laura,

Thank you for making a magical stop here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You're going to love the Disneyland Resort, where magic happens everyday.

There are a lot of fun, unique things to do while visiting the Disneyland Resort. Throughout the Disneyland Resort you will find Hidden Mickey's as well.

Over in Disney California Adventure Park, head over to the Disney Animation Building, it is full of interactive Disney fun such as the Beast's Library - where you will learn which Disney character you are most like by answering a few questions. Or, have your voice stolen by the Sea Witch in Ursula's Grotto after you sing a melody from a Disney movie clip. Turtle Talk with Crush is a family favorite of ours.

Also in Disney California Adventure Park at the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, you can earn Wilderness Explorer badges just like Russell did from the Disney-Pixar movie Up by collecting clues as you explore the wilderness. Then once you have completed your tasks, you can become a Senior Wilderness Explorer in the Senior Wilderness Explorer Ceremony.

On one of our last visits, we participated in a fun trivia challenge in Cars Land. Cast Members asked us questions about the Cars movie, if we answered correctly we received a cool Cars-themed button.

Over in Disneyland park, in Fantasyland, the sword in the stone is perched in front of the King Arthur Carrousel. It has been known that Disney magic can happen for some Guests that try to pull the sword out of the stone… if they are strong enough (the sword will only rise slightly and cannot be fully removed).

I hope this helps and that you have a pixie-dusted time on your next visit. If you have any more questions, please visit us here and let us know how we can help you plan your magical vacation.

    Wishing y'all a FairyTale time!
