Hi Ann! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Do you realize that you will be arriving for your stay at
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside TOMORROW?! Of course you do! I am SO excited for you!
This Disney Resort hotel oozes Southern charm in all the best ways. From the plantation-style buildings, to the huge magnolia trees, to the water that runs through the property ... it is breathtakingly beautiful! My first tip is to set aside a little time to stroll through the grounds and soak up all of the attention to detail that Disney has infused into this property. For even more gorgeous scenery, hop on the boat that travels to Disney Springs. It is a great way to rest and relax during a busy vacation day!
I recommend checking out what
recreational activities are offered during the days that you are there. Each Disney Resort hotel has their own schedule and unique activities. One fun extra that you can do during your stay is visit The Fishin' Hole. You can rent a fishing pole individually or as a family, and it includes everything you need to fish. Later, lounge in one of the hammocks around property and check out the Campfire on the Bayou.
Don't pass up the opportunity to dine at
Boatwright's Dining Hall for dinner. Their Deep South Shrimp and Grits are amazing! For dessert, the Bourbon Street Pecan Tart is incredible, but also consider heading over to your neighbor, Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, to pick up some Mickey-shaped Beignets. (Don't mind me, I'm just drooling uncontrollably over here.)
I hope this helps with your planning, Ann! Enjoy your vacation!
