Any suggestions for things to do while my daughter does the Grand Adventures in Cooking at the GF? It is a mommy / daughter trip so I will be alone while she does this. We are having a character breakfast first so I won't be hungry. Thanks for your help

The Grand Floridian is a wonderful resort to explore. There are several shops inside, both with Disney merchandise and also non-Disney luxury goods stores. I always end up buying some of the fun bath products in the Basin White shop.

The lobby itself is beautiful, there is often a live pianist, you could curl up on one of the lush sofas and listen to the music while enjoying the latest John Grisham. Similarly, there is a beach area at the Grand Floridian where you could sit in the sun on a lounge chair and read. And if reading turns into a nap, well then just set the alarm on your cell phone to wake you before your daughter is due back from her adventure.

There is also a spa at the Floridian. You could schedule a mani/pedi, facial or blow-out so you'll be relaxed and gorgeous for more fun in the parks. Or if you're in the mood for exercise, you could take a walk along the beach to the Polynesian to check out the amenities there. On the way, you'll pass by the Wedding Pavilion, you may be able to sneak a peek at Disney bride.

I'm sure you'll have no trouble at all filling your time with your daughter is cooking. Have a great trip.
