Any suggestions for staying at Old a Key West for the first time for a honeymoon? We normally stay at the value resorts but since this is our honeymoon we decided to stay at the deluxe Old Key West. Any advice about Old Key West would be great.

    Hi Daniele,

Congratulations on your upcoming Disney Honeymoon! What a wonderful way to treat yourself on this special trip; to splurge on your resort! I love Disney's Old Key West Resort. I find that the theme of the Florida Keys is relaxing, which will be perfect for a honeymoon!

I suggest that you take some time to enjoy the resort. There are many pools throughout the resort, and you might find that as a honeymooning couple, you want to head to one of the quiet pools for some rest and relaxation. If you are looking for something active to do together, you could take part in some of the more active recreation, such as playing tennis or renting a surrey bike. If you are looking for casual dining at any point during your honeymoon, have a meal at Olivia's Cafe. I have always found this hidden gem to be wonderful!

Also, try a boat ride over to Disney Springs. This newly re-imagined shopping, dining, and entertainment district is a great place to spend an evening. The boat ride over from Disney's Old Key West Resort is calming and could be romantic! Be sure check out all of the dining options at Disney Springs. There are many great date night options here. Morimoto Asia is one of my favorites, with a delicious Pan-Asian menu. Top the night off with a cocktail at Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar. Try to snag a table outside for a great atmosphere.

Please do let us know if you have any further questions, Daniele!
